appointments

Appointments are available Tuesday - Friday. Sessions last 50-55 minutes and typically occur on a weekly basis, especially as we begin to get to know one another.

I view the first few sessions as consultation—a time for me to get to know you, and for you to get to know what it is like to work with me. It is important for us to determine if we are a good fit for each other, because research shows that the most significant factor in successful therapy is the relationship with the therapist.

Please feel free to contact me to learn more about my services and/or schedule your first appointment.

Telehealth

I offer Telehealth sessions for Illinois residents using a HIPAA-compliant platform for Telehealth that is compatible with any desktop, laptop, tablet or smartphone that has access to a web camera. No software downloads are required.

You must be in Illinois at the time of your telehealth session. Current laws do not allow Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists to practice across state lines.

*There may be options to do a session if you are travelling briefly, however there are a number of factors including individual state laws that need to be reviewed beforehand.

Fees

Individual, Couple and Family Therapy: $200 per session

I offer limited reduced fee spots for clients who are a good fit for the practice and are otherwise prevented from seeking services due to financial constraints.

Cancellation Policy: Please note that sessions cancelled with less than 24-hours notice will result in a charge of the full session fee. Cancellations are not covered by insurance.

INSURANCE

I am an In-Network Provider with Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO and Blue Choice Preferred PPO. It is recommended that you check with your insurance provider to confirm coverage details related to your deductible, copay, or coinsurance prior to coming in.

With other insurance plans, appointments are considered 'Out of Network'. For Out of Network claims a detailed statement will be provided and will include all of the required information for claim reimbursement. However, you are ultimately responsible for full payment of fees. Contact us for further details regarding insurance coverage for sessions.

Use of insurance does not guarantee coverage. Insurance companies operate on a medical model and only pay for treatment they consider “medically necessary.” This model is based on symptoms and functioning, not on personal growth, increased self-understanding, or connection. Use of insurance also grants the insurer the right to audit your treatment records in order to review for medical necessity. Sometimes this model fits a person’s therapy needs, and at other times it does not.

I believe it is important to be informed when making any decision regarding your care.
